Zanskar    Valley   Trek
  • Padam, the capital of Zanskar is approchable by a 3 days drive from Leh or Srinagar. Padam is also the finishing point for many popular treks through Zanskar and Lahoul. This trek can easily be combined with other polpular treks. This extention to Leh via the Markha Valley passes through very remote mountains that are famed for their wildlife and numerous river crossings. This is a fantastic trek for Wild Life and Photography enthusiasts / amateurs.
  • Day    01 :    Arrive     Delhi

    After arrival in Delhi our travel manger will greet you in a proper Indian traditional way with garlands. Aboard A/ C deluxe cab and proceed for your pre-booked hotel with your travel manger. Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
  • Day    02 :     Delhi - Leh

    Catch early morning flight to Leh. On arrival you will our local travel personal, who will take you to your pre-booked hotel. Day is free for your individual activities. Overnight stay.
  • Day    03 :     Leh - Kargil

    Today from Leh your travel manager will take you to Kargil, by surface. Kargil is the take off point for trekking into the Zanskar Valley. Nestling in the Suru valley, Kargil is set amidst lush green backdrop. During the drive you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Indian mountains. Reach Kargil and check in at your hotel. Afternoon is free for the individual activities.
  • Day    04 :     Kargil - Padum

    After an early breakfast you will undertake a pleasant trek up to Padum (3650m). Padum is 240 km to the south of Kargil. Arrive in the capital city of Zanskar. Arrive Padum and pitch camp for overnight stay.
  • Day    05 :     Padum - Stongde - Zangla

    From Padum, Stongdey lies 18-km north. From Padum you will enjoy a well routed trek to Stongde which is about 3500m. After reaching there you will relax and move forward to the Zangla with your travel guide. The total stretch will take around 7hrs trekking. Reach Zangla. Relax at your camp. Overnight stay.
  • Day    06 :     Zangla - Zangla Sumdo

    Get up, wash and have a healthy breakfast. Today you will trek towards Zangla Sumdo (3940m). During your trekking the great views of the Zanskar River and the villages of Pishu and Pidmo on the other side of the river will surely leave you wonderstruck. It will take 4hours to reach to reach Zangla Sumdo from Zangla. Overnight at camp.
  • Day    07 :     Zangla Sumdo - CHARCHA LA - Tom Tokh

    Finish your breakfast quickly and start for Tom Tokh (nearly 5,000m). You will reach Tom Tokh, by enroute visiting Char Char La (4950m). You will follow several narrow side gorges and reach Char Char La. Take your lunch at Char Char La. Post lunch move for Tom Tokh. It will take around 4 hours to ascend to that place. You will spent your night at camp, below the pass at Tom Tokh.
  • Day    08 :     Tom Tokh- Tilta Sumdo

    With your today's trekking a rocky, rough and challenging trail will start. You have to cross around 20 to 30 rivers crossing, before you reach Tilta. Tilta Sumdo is placed in land where the Khurna Cho flows in to form a major confluence and join the Zanskar River. Enjoy the rough wild beauty of Tilta. Camp overnight.
  • Day    09 :     Tilta Sumdo - Leharnah Sumdo

    Today you will have another hard day walk. From Tilta you will trek to Leharnah Sumdo. Reach there and relax for the night at camp.
  • Day    10 :     Leharnah Sumdo - Rubering La- Markha

    Morning after your breakfast you will trek to the beautiful Markha (11,776ft), enroute visiting Rubering La. Lunch break at the track from Rubering La. This 6 hours trekking trail will take you to the voyage of loveliest sections of the Zanskar valley. Explore the natural beauty through the woody bushes grow thickly along the river.
  • Day    11 :     Markha - Thinlespa

    After having a nutritious breakfast, you will climbing east today. You reach the picturesque village Thinlespa. You will trail across the woody bushes grow thickly along the river. From here you can enjoy a panoramic view of snow covered slopes of Kang-Yutze (6400 mtrs.). Overnight camp.
  • Day    12 :     Rest / Explore Thinlespa

    Before starting your return journey, you will enjoy a relax day in this small village which lies before the Markha village. Explore Thinlespa and its surroundings. Lovely willow, playful springs, rare flora and fauna- all these have made this place is one heaven in earth. Explore the hidden beauties of Thinlepsa. Overnight stay.
  • Day    13 :     Thinlespa - Shingo

    Today you will enjoy a pleasant walk. You will trek along the river and through wooded valleys, lush greeneries and arrive at Shingo (4,150 m). Overnight at camp.
  • Day    14 :     Shingo - Ganda La - Yurutse

    Today you will experience the best view of the Zanskar valley. Today you will ascend to Ganda La (4,920 m), the last pass. Descend to Yurutse (4,140 m). At night you will stay at the traditional village of Yurutse.
  • Day    15 :     Yurutse - Base of Namlung La

    This is a day, when trekking will be comprised of lots of ups and downs. First descend down till Rumbak. From there you will ascend to Namlung La pass (4,100m).
  • Day    16 :     Base of Namlung La - Stok - Leh

    On your last day of trekking, you will descend down to Stok. This old monastery village is placed near Leh. From here you will taken to Leh by surface. Arrive and check in at your pre-booked hotel. Unwind yourself and enjoy overnight stay.
  • Day    17 :     Leh - Delhi

    From Leh you will catch an early flight to Delhi. Our local travel manger will be waiting for you there for reception. Reach and proceed for your hotel with him. Check in at your hotel. Unwind yourself. Day is free for your individual activities. If you want anything extra then assistance will be given on your prior request. Overnights at Delhi.
  • Day    18 :     Depart Home

    Morning, have your relax breakfast. Check out from your hotel at 12 noon. Have your fare well lunch with your group mates. Then you will be escorted to airport, from where you will fly for your home.
